MUSIC: The Dead Weather's "The Difference Between Us"

Jack White gets around. I can hardly keep up with all the bands he's a member of and I'm not a fan of all of 'em either. But I gave The Dead Weather's latest album Sea of Cowards a listen. Keeping an open mind, I settled on "The Difference Between Us" as the track that would appeal to the masses, especially since it starts with a slower version of the notes that start off Miley Cyrus's "Fly on the Wall." lol

Plus, I'm feeling the lyrics, especially the part where she croons:
"Let's go when no one can see us / And find the difference between us / You can cry like a baby / Just let me do what I need to / It might be to me or to you / Just let me do what I need to"
Sounds like Alison Mosshart of The Kills is trying to seduce someone...to a Miley Cyrus song. I'm kidding. I'm kidding. I just like how coy the sexual innuendo is.

BEST TRACK: LCD Soundsystem's "Drunk Girls"

I don't really like dance-punk band LCD Soundsystem, but I do like this one track off their latest album This Is Happening. Granted, it's like a dirty 3rd grade poem, but the immature side of me just likes to scream "DRUNK GIRLS!" and bop along.

Annnnnd here's the weird ass video:

VIDEO: Drake's "Find Your Love" vs. Alicia Keys' "Unthinkable"

Forbidden love is in the air...

Sometimes a song can be decent, but one lyric is what truly hooks you and solidifies its spot on your Most Played playlist. For Drake's beautiful R&B single "Find Your Love," which will surely be featured on many a summer playlist, it's the first line:
"I'm more than just an option/Refuse to be forgotten"
I feel like that's a mantra that both genders will respect and adopt, which is what makes it a killer line.

Watch the video below. It has a similar plot to Orlando Bloom & Zoe Saldana's 2004 romantic tragedy Haven.

Alicia Keys often has interesting plots to her videos, and she didn't disappoint this time around either. For "Unthinkable" she set the theme of forbidden interracial love in 6 decades, from the 50s to the 00s, and cast Chad Michael Murray ("One Tree Hill") as her Romeo. It has impressive attention to detail (ancient cellphones and hairstyle changes) and direction. It's videos like these that should be nominated at the VMA's.

ALBUM REVIEW: Corinne Bailey Rae's "The Sea"

Soft-spoken, folksy music really isn't my thing. But I was as obsessed with Corinne's feel-good "Put Your Records On" as everyone else was in 2006. She took a bit of a break—two years—after her husband tragically died, and dropped off everyone's radar. In January of this year, however, she popped back up with the melodic, R&B, piano-and-snare-drum heavy tracks that are on her sophomore album The Sea. I didn't expect for there to be cheery tracks that mimicked what basically became one of 2006's summer anthems, because of the state of mourning that I'm sure dominated her life. Therefore, I didn't expect to enjoy it. I like my female singers with a little backbone, which is why the only two tracks I enjoyed from this album are the ones where it seems like she has a little pep-in-her-step and is full of bravado.

"Paper Dolls"
I'm digging the creepy (lol) Addams Family-ish piano and catchy chorus.

"The Blackest Lily"
At the base of it are these church organs, and then it slides into indie rock with a wrenching guitar that just changes all preconceptions you've had about her.

TV: 2010 Summer TV Schedule

Cast: Sophie Winkleman, Chris Moynihan (For Your Consideration), Smith Cho ("Knight Rider" and Fired Up!), Collette Wolfe (Hot Tub Time Machine), David Walton (Fired Up! and "Quarterlife"), and Michael Benjamin Washington
Why Watch: It could be interesting—like a more focused "How I Met Your Mother."

28th - Friday
8pm "Past Life" (FOX)
They're going to burn off the rest of the series this summer. It's canceled and the lead, Kelli Giddish, will star in the new CBS series "Chase" this Fall.

JUNE

Cast: Terry Crews ("Everybody Hates Chris"), Essence Atkins ("Half & Half"), rapper Ice Cube (Are We There Yet?), Coy Stewart, Teala Dunn ("The Naked Brothers Band"), Keesha Sharp ("Girlfriends"), and comedian Christian Finnegan
Why Watch: I rarely enjoy TBS family shows, but I'm sure fans of the film and of Ice Cube's comedic timing will appreciate it.

11pm "The Hard Times of RJ Berger" (MTV)
Plot: The new scripted teen series is like Superbad meets HBO's "Hung." The title character was a geeky outcast, pining after the most popular girl, until the day the resident dumb jock pulls his pants down and reveals that RJ is very well-endowed. Suddenly, he's the man.
Cast: Paul Iacono (Fame), Jareb Dauplaise (My Life in Ruins and Transformers 2), Kara Taitz ("The Suite Life of Zack and Cody"), and newcomers Amber Lancaster and Jayson Blair

This season: Lightman will investigate a police department, an unjust life-sentence, one of his mentor's graduate students, and two assassination attempts, as well as help Torres' half-sister, who resides at a juvenile detention center.

Jack feels like he's paying his dues in the Property Crime Division, babysitting Dan, and is all too eager to get back to real police work. With the help of the assistant district attorney, his ex-girlfriend Liz, maybe he'll be able to survive this new partnership.
Cast: Bradley Whitford ("Studio 60"), Colin Hanks (The House Bunny), Jenny Wade ("Reaper"), and Diana Maria Riva (Our Family Wedding)
Why Watch: Because Colin deserves a break. It's been almost 10 years since "Roswell," and he's overdue.

10pm "Persons Unknown" (NBC)
Plot: A group of strangers must come together to solve the puzzle of their lives when they are locked in a building and put under surveillance without any explanation.
Cast: Sean O'Bryan (Princess Diaries), Jason Wiles ("Third Watch"), Chadwick Boseman ("Lincoln Heights"), Reggie Lee (Tropic Thunder and Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End), and Tina Holmes ("Six Feet Under")
Why Watch: The mystery is slowly revealed over the season and if you like slow-reveals it could be a nice summer treat.

8th - Tuesday
8pm "Pretty Little Liars" (ABC FAM)
Plot: "One year ago, Alison, the Queen Bee of their group, disappeared and the girls swore they'd never tell what really happened that night. Now, as the mystery surrounding Alison's disappearance resurfaces, the girls begin getting messages from A, saying – and threatening – things only Alison would know. The girls are friends again, but will they be there for each other if their dark secrets come to light?"
Cast: Lucy Hale ("Privileged"), Ashley Benson ("Eastwick"), Trolan Bellisario, Shay Mitchell, Sasha Pieterse ("Heroes"), Ian Harding, Laura Leighton, Holly Marie Combs ("Charmed"), Bianca Lawson ("Vampire Diaries"), and Janel Parrish (Bratz)
Why Watch: It's kind of like "Veronica Mars" meets "Desperate Housewives"-for-teens.

13th - Sunday
9pm "True Blood" (HBO)
This season: Sookie searches for Bill with the help of a werewolf bodyguard named Alcide (Joe Manganiello from "One Tree Hill"), Bill's maker returns, grief-stricken Tara befriends the shady vamp Franklin (James Frain from "The Tudors"), Sam reconnects with his mom and little brother (Marshall Allman from "Prison Break"), Jason trains to be a police officer, and Lafayette gets a new love interest in the form of his mom's nurse Jesus (Kevin Alejandro from "Ugly Betty" and "Southland"). There'll also be a gay love triangle involving Eric, despite an intense moment he has with Sookie that will reveal another reason he's attracted to her and lead to a flashback that illustrates his desire to avenge someone. There will be three villains: Tara's new admirer Franklin, Alcide's jealous ex-werewolf-girlfriend Debbie (Brit Morgan from "Middleman"), and the vampire King of Mississippi Russell (Denis O'Hare from The Proposal).

20th - Sunday
7pm "The Phantom" (Syfy 4hr movie)
In this reimagining of the 1996 superhero film starring Billy Zane, the Phantom's son (Ryan Carnes from "Desperate Housewives" and "General Hospital") must take his place. With the help of his advisor (Sandrine Holt from "24") and a modern exoskeleton suit, he will try to stop the Brotherhood and juggle the life he must leave behind and the girlfriend (Cameron Goodman) he must protect.

9pm "The Gates" (ABC)
Plot: A cop moves to a gated suburban community with his family and becomes the police chief. At first it seems like there's no crime to police, but the townspeople have a well-kept secret that he'll soon discover.
Cast: Frank Grillo ("Prison Break" and "The Guiding Light"), Rhona Mitra (Underworld: Rise of the Lycans and Doomsday), Marisol Nichols ("24"), Chandra West ("90210"), Travis Caldwell, Colton Haynes, Victoria Platt ("The Guiding Light"), Janina Gavankar ("The L Word"), Luke Mably, Skyler Samuels (The Stepfather), and Justin Miles.
Why Watch: I think the big secret is that the town is made up of vampires and werewolves. Think of it as a supernatural "Desperate Housewives."

9pm "Leverage" (TNT)
This season: Gina Bellman (Sophie) is back from maternity leave, so the gang's back together again. And George Clooney's girlfriend, Italian actress Elisabetta Canalis, will guest star.

10pm - "Scoundrels" (ABC)
Plot: It's about a woman who tries to make her family of criminals go straight after her husband is sentenced to 5 years instead of 5 months in prison.
Cast: Virginia Madsen (Sideways), David James Elliott ("JAG"), Leven Rambin ("Grey's Anatomy" and "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles"), Vanessa Marano ("Gilmore Girls"), Patrick Flueger ("The 4400") playing twins, and Carlos Bernard ("24").
Why Watch: Well Madsen is an Oscar-nominated actress, soooooo....

22nd - Tuesday
10pm "Memphis Beat" (TNT)
Plot: "A drama centered on a Memphis cop (Jason Lee) who moonlights as an Elvis impersonator and lives with his mother."
Cast: Jason Lee ("My Name is Earl"), Alfre Woodward ("Desperate Housewives"), DJ Qualls (The New Guy and Hustle & Flow), Celia Weston (Observe and Report), Sam Hennings, Leonard Earle Howze (Barbershop 2: Back in Business), and Abraham Benrubi ("Men in Trees").
Why Watch: Because Lee is funny and always does well in roles where he's the King of the Idiots.

24th - Thursday
9pm "Rookie Blue" (ABC)
Plot: A drama about five rookie cops.
Cast: Missy Peregrym ("Reaper"), Gregory Smith ("Everwood"), Charlotte Sullivan, Enuka Okuma, and Travis Milne.
Why Watch: I like the idea of watching cops that aren't Jack Bauer-invincible for once.

27th - Sunday
10pm "Hung" (HBO)

10:30pm "Entourage" (HBO)
This season: Cutthroat agent Autumn Reeser returns as a series regular, and the boys have to figure out what their next move is.

28th - Monday
9pm "Huge" (ABC FAM)
Plot: Seven teens at a weight-loss camp learn to love themselves as they struggle for acceptance.
Cast: Nikki Blonsky (Hairspray), Zander Eckhouse, Harvey Guillen, Ari Stidham, Ashley Holliday, and Hayley Hasselhoff (David's daughter).
Why Watch: Because overweight-themed TV is the new hot trend. Get inspired to appreciate every roll and jiggle on your body, because there are worst things than being fat.

10pm "Make It or Break It" (ABC FAM)
This season: There's the aftermath of Kaylie finding Lauren and Carter together and...other stuff. lol Gymnastics stuff, I promise.

29th - Tuesday
10pm "Rescue Me" (FX)

11pm "Louie" (FX)
Plot: It's described as "a comedy filtered through the observational humor of comedian Louis C.K. Each episode puts a spotlight on Louis' hectic life as a successful stand-up comedian and newly single father raising his two daughters."

Before long, her natural curiosity lands her in the epicenter of activity in this curious enclave, which turns out to be a longtime refuge for people that are affected by a range of supernatural afflictions. As the townspeople's dormant abilities begin to express themselves, Audrey helps keep these forces at bay while discovering the many secrets of Haven — including one surrounding her own surprising connections to this extraordinary place."
Cast: Emily Rose ("Brothers & Sisters") and Eric Balfour ("24").
Why Watch: It's the supernatural version of "Eureka."

11th - Sunday
10pm "The Glades" (A&E)
Plot: A hard to get along with homicide detective from Chicago gets shot by his captain after being wrongfully accused of sleeping with his wife. After being exiled from the department, he relocates to the sleepy, middle of nowhere town of Palm Glade, Florida, where the sunshine and golf are plentiful and crime is seemingly at a minimum. Only this town outside the Florida Everglades isn’t quite as idyllic as he thought, as he finds people keep turning up murdered. Between practicing his short game, trying to get a date with Callie - a quick-witted, beautiful medical student with a 12 year-old son and a husband in prison - and trying to solve countless homicide cases, Longworth’s transition to his new surroundings is a bit more difficult than expected.
Cast: Matt Passmore, Kiele Sanchez (The Perfect Getaway and "Lost"), Carlos Gomez (Desperado), Michelle Hurd ("Law & Order: SVU"), Uriah Shelton, and Jordan Wall
Why Watch: There are a lot of shows where a cop is transferred to a less hectic location (Justified, Burn Notice, Eureka, The Gates, etc.) and then that location ends up being just as hectic. They essentially become a big fish in a little pond. If that's the kind of show you like watching, then have at it.
Watch a clip.

12th - Monday
9pm "The Closer" (TNT)

10pm "Rizoli & Isles" (TNT)
Plot: A detective and a medical examiner partner up to solve crimes with the help of her rookie partner, her seasoned former partner and an FBI agent.
Cast: Angie Harmon ("Law & Order"), Sasha Alexander (Mission: Impossible III), Lee Thompson Young ("Flash Forward"), Bruce McGill (Law Abiding Citizen), and Billy Burke ("The Twilight Saga").
Why Watch: There's a chance it could be "Castle"-funny minus the sexual tension.

13th - Tuesday
9pm "White Collar" (USA)
This season: We'll see when Peter first caught Neal. We'll learn a lot more about Neal's sidekick Mozzie. Hilarie Burton ("One Tree Hill") will guest star for 6 episodes. And we'll watch as Neal hunts for the person who killed Kate.

10pm "Covert Affairs" (USA)
Plot: A CIA trainee is put in the field a month before her training finishes without explanation. There's a chance that the government is searching for someone in her past. With the help of a blind tech ops expert, she'll navigate her way through a new job and investigate her new employer's real motive.
Cast: Piper Perabo (Coyote Ugly and Cheaper by the Dozen), Christopher Gorham ("Ugly Betty" and "Jake 2.0"), and Emmanuelle Vaugier ("Two and a Half Men").
Why Watch: It might be a funnier, lighter, and less legend-heavy version of "Alias."

14th - Wednesday
10pm "Psych" (USA)

25th - Sunday
10pm "Mad Men" (AMC)
This season: Jared Harris (Lane Pryce) became a series regular since he is now a partner, but it looks like there's no Sal in our future. :(

16th - Monday
10pm "Weeds" (Showtime)
This season: Celia will not be returning, but Linda Hamilton (Terminator) will be joining the series as an eco-conscious lesbian pot grower who helps Nancy settle in Seattle, and Peter Stormare ("Prison Break" and Constantine) will play a chef at the restaurant that Andy washes dishes for.

10:30pm "The Big C" (Showtime)
Plot: A suburban mom, diagnosed with cancer, tries to find the humor in the disease, and have more fun in her last months than she's had in her entire life.
Cast: Laura Linney (Love Actually), Oliver Platt ("Bored to Death" and 2012), John Benjamin Hickey (The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3), Gabriel Basso ("iCarly"), Gabourey Sidibe (Precious)
Why Watch: While it may seem depressing, there's definitely something uplifting about grabbing life by the balls and not wasting a minute regretting. Besides, she's bound to do and say some crazy shit knowing she won't be around for the repercussions.

17th - Tuesday
8pm "Melissa & Joey" (ABC Family)
Plot: After a family scandal leaves Mel, a local politician, alone with her niece, Lennox, and nephew, Ryder, she hires a man named Joe to become the family's male nanny, or "manny".

May 2010's Ones-to-Watch: Gemma Arterton, Rapper Common, Will Forte, & Christopher Egan

This month the fresh faces are a little bit dated. You've seen them before, in several films that never really counted as their big break. Perhaps the movies they star in this month will lead to a steadier future.

Name: Christopher Egan
Age: 25
Hometown: Sydney, Australia
Trivia: He once recorded a demo song titled "Fly Away" and he trained in gymnastics.
Where you've seen him...Briefly as the cousin of the title character in Eragon, as a zombie-fighting refugee in Resident Evil: Extinction, and as the biblical hero in NBC's unjustly canceled modern day epic "Kings."
Where to see him: Helping his grandmother (Vanessa Redgrave) find her Romeo with the help of a persistent hopeless romantic (Amanda Seyfried) in Letters to Juliet.
Up next: He tends to pace himself.

Name: Common
Age: 38
Hometown: Chicago, Illinois
Trivia: His real name is Lonnie Rashid Lynn. He was forced to change his rap name Common Sense to Common after being sued for the name by a ska band in '95. He was engaged to singer Erykah Badu and he has a daughter.
Where you've seen him...in crime action comedies and dramas Smokin' Aces, American Gangster, Street Kings, Wanted, Terminator Salvation, and Date Night.
Where to see him: He's playing an injured basketball player who has to choose between his money-grubbing trophy wife (Paula Patton from Precious and Deja Vu) and his sports-loving physical therapist (Queen Latifah).
Up next: He hasn't signed on for another film yet, but producers will soon decide if he's worth investing in once they see his first starring role. In the mean time, he'll probably continue recording music.

Name: Will Forte
Age: 39
Hometown: Alameda County, California
Trivia: His real name is Orville (lol). He was in the same comedy troupe, The Groundlings, as Jimmy Fallon, Will Ferrell, Maya Rudolph, Kristen Wiig, Lisa Kudrow, and many more.
Where you've seen him...for 8 years on "SNL" as some seriously disturbed characters and unfortunately alongside Will Arnett in the lame comedy The Brothers Solomon.
Where to see him: He'll star in the skit-to-film MacGuyver action comedy spoof MacGruber with Kristen Wiig and Ryan Phillippe as his partners, and Val Kilmer as the villain.
Up next: The comedy A Good Old Fashioned Orgy with Martin Starr (Adventureland and Knocked Up), Jason Sudeikis ("SNL"), Nick Kroll ("Cavemen"), and Tyler Labine ("Reaper").

Name: Gemma Arterton
Age: 24
Hometown: Kent, England
Trivia: Born with a crumpled ear and 12 fingers, which were both fixed at birth. Almost scored Scarlett Johansson's role in Iron Man 2 and Carey Mulligan's role in the upcoming My Fair Lady. She's also rumored to have been engaged to a stuntman last year.
Where you've seen her...She's been seduced by Bond in Quantum of Solace and has guided Perseus in Clash of the Titans.
Where to see him: She's starring as a feisty princess alongside Jake Gyllenhaal in the video game turned adventure epic Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.
Up next: The British comedic graphic novel adaptation of Tamara Drewe with Dominic Cooper (Mama Mia) and Luke Evans (Clash of the Titans).

TRAILER: Matt Damon & Emily Blunt's "The Adjustment Bureau"

Plot: "The affair between a politician and a ballerina is affected by mysterious forces keeping the lovers apart."
Cast: Matt Damon, Emily Blunt, John Slattery ("Mad Men"), Daniel Dae Kim ("Lost"), and Anthony Mackie
Verdict: It didn't make sense at first, but now I totally get it. It's in the same vein as Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind. You have a choice to either be with someone you love who can destroy your life or completely forget them and go on a different path. Do you choose self-destruction or a life of loneliness? Love it!

Release Date: September 17

TRAILER: Drew Barrymore & Justin Long's "Going the Distance"

Plot: "A look at the trials and tribulations of a long-distance relationship."
Cast: Drew Barrymore, Justin Long, Christina Applegate, Charlie Day ("It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia"), Jason Sudeikis ("SNL"), Jim Gaffigan ("My Boys"), Ron Livingston, Kelli Garner (Man of the House)
Verdict: When I read that this film was ''more akin to Knocked Up than it is to The Proposal," I thought "Puh-lease." Then I saw the trailer and I nearly died laughing. Honestly, his friend trying to "DJ his hookup," her brother-in-law not interrupting their spontaneous dining-room-table love making while he ate a sandwich, him getting spray-tan in his mouth, and her sister's general disapproval of the entire relationship has given my stomach muscles a workout.

Release Date: August 27

TRAILER: Emma Stone's "Easy A"

Plot: "A clean-cut high school student relies on the school's rumor mill to advance her social and financial standing."
Cast: Emma Stone (Zombieland and The House Bunny), Dan Byrd ("Cougar Town"), Penn Badgley ("Gossip Girl"), Amanda Bynes, Cam Gigandet (Twilight), Alyson Michalka (Bandslam), Lisa Kudrow, Stanley Tucci, Patricia Clarkson, Thomas Haden Church
Verdict: I miss teen comedies. The good ones too. Not the ones that resort to shameless nudity. Plus, Emma Stone is now being referred to as what-Lindsay-Lohan-could've-been, which I'm sure sucks for both of them, but it's good to see that there's hope for young Hollywood. My favorite line is when her parents say:
"No offense, but you kind of look like a stripper."--mom
"Mom?!"--daughter
"A high-end stripper, for governors or athletes."--dad

Release Date: September 17 — should have a summer release :(

TRAILER: Zac Efron's "Charlie St. Cloud"

Plot: "Charlie St. Cloud is a young man overcome by grief at the death of his younger brother. So much so that he takes a job as caretaker of the cemetery in which his brother is buried. Charlie has a special lasting bond with his brother though, as he can see him. Charlie meets up with his brother (Sam) each night to play catch and talk. Then, a girl comes into Charlie's life and he must choose between keeping a promise he made to Sam, or going after the girl he loves."
Cast: Zac Efron, Charlie Tahan (I Am Legend), Amanda Crew (The Haunting in Connecticut and Sex Drive), Kim Basigner, Dave Franco ("Scrubs"), Donal Logue ("Life"), and Chris Massoglia (Cirque du Freak).
Verdict: Stock up on tissue boxes, the trailer alone will bring you to tears.

Release Date: July 30
[sorry about the confusion, IMDb.com did me wrong.]

TRAILER: Paul Giamatti's "Barney's Version"

Plot: "The picaresque and touching story of the politically incorrect, fully lived life of the impulsive, irascible and fearlessly blunt Barney Panofsky."
Cast: Paul Giamatti, Dustin Hoffman, Minnie Driver, Rachelle Lefevre (The Twilight Saga: New Moon), Scott Speedman ("Felicity")
Verdict: I rarely enjoy adult romantic comedies, but this one's hard to resist. This guy's been married three times and he finally meets the girl of his dreams on his wedding day? Really? Now that just has to be funny. Then, of course, there's the crackerjack cast of Giamatti, Driver, and Hoffman who raise the comedy quality up a couple notches.

Release Date: TBD

TV: "Lost" Cast: Where will you see them next?

It's the end of the series and we'll miss the lovable and the lovingly-hated cast members. So what will the actors do next?

Jack - Matthew Fox
Up Next: He's rumored to be in the comic adaptation of the crime thriller Billy Smoke. It's about a "top-notch hit-man who nearly dies as a result of a job gone terribly wrong. After which, he determines that the only way for him to acquire redemption for what he’s done is to seek out and eliminate all the world’s assassins."

Kate - Evangeline Lilly
Up Next: She's about to start shooting the action drama Real Steel with Hugh Jackman, Anthony Mackie, and Kevin Durand (Keamy from "Lost"). It's a boxing drama, where fighters go up against 2,000lb robots that look like humans.

Jin - Daniel Dae Kim
Up Next: He'll be in Matt Damon and Emily Blunt's scifi romance The Adjustment Bureau this September, the Samuel L. Jackson and Kellan Lutz action thriller Deathgames next year, and the "Hawaii Five-O" reboot this Fall.

Claire - Emilie de Ravin

Michael - Harold Perrineau
Up Next: He just wrapped the horror sequel 30 Days of Night: Dark Days and the dramatic thriller The Hungry Rabbit Jumps, which stars Nicolas Cage, Guy Pearce, and January Jones ("Mad Men").

Juliet - Elizabeth Mitchell
Up Next: You can see her in the second season of "V" this Fall and she's just wrapped the indie drama Answers to Nothing, which also stars Zach Gilford ("Friday Night Lights"), Julie Benz ("Dexter"), and Dane Cook.

Shannon - Maggie Grace
Up Next: She'll be in this June's Knight and Day, alongside Cameron Diaz and Tom Cruise. She just wrapped the psychological thriller The Experiment with Adrien Brody, Forest Whitaker, and Cam Gigandet (Twilight and Never Back Down), and the action drama Faster with Dawyne Johnson and Billy Bob Thorton. Soon she'll begin shooting the dramedy Relative Insanity with Juliette Binoche.

Richard - Nestor Carbonell
Up Next: You can hear him soon in the animated film Noah's Ark: The New Beginning.

Frank - Jeff Fahey
Up Next: You can see him in the Robert Rodriguez crime thriller Machete this September, and he just wrapped the thriller Bed and Breakfast and the horror musical Eldorado.

Boone - Ian Somerhalder
Up Next: You can catch him this Fall on The CW's second season of "Vampire Diaries," and next year in the mystery thriller Cradlewood. The most exciting news, though, is that he's rumored to have been tapped for a role in the adaptation of Twilight writer Stephenie Meyer's alien saga The Host.

Walt - Malcolm David Kelley
Up Next: He just started shooting the philosophical drama Threatened with Michael Madsen and Omar Gooding ("Miami Medical").

*Those not mentioned either don't have a project lined up or weren't main characters in the end.

• For all of you haters who knocked Drew Barrymore's directorial debut Whip It, brace yourselves cause you'll never believe what she's directing next. She's rumored to be interested in directing Surrender Dorothy, the sequel to The Wizard of Oz. "The story follows the great, great granddaughter of Dorothy who has learned to use the power of the magic slippers to keep the Wicked Witch of the West from taking control of not just Oz but Earth as well." Funny thing is, that's not the only Oz-related film that's in the works. Robert Downey Jr. is rumored to be attached to star in Oz The Great and Powerful, which will focus on the wizard himself.

Shia Labeouf is one lucky bastard. With Megan Fox dropping out (or getting kicked off) of Transformers 3, Michael Bay is on the hunt for a new fiery vixen. In the lead is the current Hollywood beauty Gemma Arterton (Clash of the Titans and Prince of Persia), and filling out the list are models Brooklyn Decker (tennis champ Andy Roddick's wife), Bar Rafaeli (Leonardo DiCaprio's girlfriend), and Miranda Kerr (Orlando Bloom's girlfriend). So basically, no acting experience is either required or expected. I wonder if they have more pull depending on who they're sleeping with. If so, Rafaeli's got it in the bag.

• In other Transformers 3 casting news, McDreamy, I mean Patrick Dempsey, is rumored to be playing a villain. I don't think I can take him seriously with that hair.

• It would seem that Zoe Saldana has found a comfortable niche. After Star Trek, Avatar, and The Losers, she's signed on for yet another action film—this time, in the lead role. She'll star in Luc Besson's "drama" Columbiana, which is about a "stone-cold assassin who commits contract killings for her uncle's company by day. On her time off though, she commits vigilante murders in the hope of finding the mobster responsible for her parents' murder which she witnessed as a child in Bogota, Columbia." It could be the turning point for her—moving from "main hot girl" to leading lady.

• Looks like Gary Marshall is trying to insert a teen plot into New Years' Eve, the upcoming semi-sequel to Valentine's Day, by adding none other than teen sensation Justin Bieber. Given that the film is set to premiere in December 2011, I find it hard to believe that we'll all still be in a Bieber trance a year and a half from now. Dear God, I hope not.

• They've already assembled the cast of the Three Musketeers remake. The heroes will be played by Logan Lerman (Percy Jackson) as D'Artagnan, Ray Stevenson (The Book of Eli) as Porthos, Luke Evans (Clash of the Titans) as Athos, and Matthew Macfadyen (Pride & Prejudice) as Aramis. Joining them as the villains are Christoph Waltz (Inglourious Basterds) as Cardinal Richelieu, Mads Mikkelsen (Casino Royale) as Rochefort and Milla Jovovich (Resident Evil) as Athos' former flame Milady de Winter. Orlando Bloom (Pirates of the Caribbean) is also in negotiations to play the Duke of Buckingham but hasn't been confirmed yet, and Juno Temple (Year One) is in negotiations to play the Royal Highness.

• There's going to be a remake of the 1985 cult classic Fright Night and you'll never guess who's staring in it. "The story follows Charley Brewster (Anton Yelchin), a young man who is convinced his new neighbor Jerry Dandrige (Colin Farrell) is a vampire. [Toni] Collette will play Yelchin's mom, who at first disapproves of the new arrival but changes her attitude when she meets the magnetic man and doesn't believe her son." Yelchin, Collette, and Farrell—what a strange, yet intriguing, mix.

• While we're on the subject of Farrell stepping out of his brooding-action-badass comfort zone, he's also signed on to play a jerk in the upcoming Seth Gordon comedy Horrible Bosses, alongside Jason Bateman, Jamie Foxx, and Jennifer Aniston. The film is about three friends who conspire to murder their awful bosses. "The three bosses include a master manipulator, a sexually aggressive dentist (Aniston), and a weaselly scion (Farrell). Bateman plays a hard worker who gets passed over for a promotion. Charlie Day's ("It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia") character, who works for Aniston, plays a guy who gets innocently caught in the worst possible places and times." We know Farrell can do dark comedy (In Bruges), but we'll soon find out if he can do commercial comedy.

Jessica Biel will be getting another shot at impressing the masses in a period piece when she stars alongside Luke Evans (Clash of the Titans) in the romantic biopic Vivaldi as his protege singer and muse.

• Channing Tatum is going back to comedies again, taking a supporting role in Vince Vaughn and Kevin James' next film Cheaters. He'll play Winona Ryder's tattooed-and-pierced lover, who's putting a crimp in James' marriage. Tatum is also dipping his toe back into Oscar-worthy dramas, starring in What's Left of Us, an adaptation of Richie Farrell's drug detox novel High on Crack Street.

• They've filled out the cast of Scream 4. While the original actors Neve Campbell, David Arquette, and Courteney Cox have already signed on, the producers needed to find some young blood to attract a new audience. Ashley Greene (Twilight) will play Campbell’s cousin Jill who'll be the heroine of the movie. Hayden Panettiere ("Heroes") will play her best friend and the Randy/film geek of the movie. Lake Bell ("How to Make It in America" and What Happens in Vegas) plays a police officer who knew Sidney (Campbell) in high school. And Rory Culkin (i.e. the hot Culkin brother) will play a potential love interest for Jill.

• They're remaking Judge Dredd (in 3D of course). It'll ignore Sylvester Stallone's 1995 version and go back to the comic book's premise and style.

• Every now and then something cool comes out of net-wide appreciation. French filmmaker Patrick Jean's semi-animated short Pixels swept the web earlier this month, featuring several 1980s video game characters (Donkey Kong, Tetris, Space Invaers, Frogger, and Pac-Man), transforming everything in the world into pixelated video game versions. It's really cool, and apparently Adam Sandler thought so too, since his production company is planning to turn it into a feature film along the lines of Ghostbusters.

TV NEWS: Vanessa Williams joins "Desperate Housewives," "Moonlight" Revival, "Heroes" Movie, US "Skins," and more

Vanessa Williams is rumored to be joining next season's "Desperate Housewives." Let the drama begin.

• "Smallville" fans might be disappointed to learn that Lex Luthor will not make an appearance in the last season.

• There are talks of a made-for-TV movie to wrap up all the storylines in "Heroes." Honestly though, it's been gone for so long, I can't imagine anyone who still remembers what needs wrapping.

• The CW will be airing Alex O'Loughlin's canceled CBS series "Moonlight" this summer.

• The USA Network is producing two new pilots. "Necessary Roughness" will be about a divorced female sports therapist, and "A Legal Mind" will be about a brilliant young man who gets a job at a major corporate law firm, despite his lack of a college degree.

• Syfy is remaking the UK 60s series "Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased)," where a cop dies and comes back from the dead to rejoin his partner as a ghost.

• MTV decided to "push boundaries" by stealing the plot of the hit British series "Skins" and making a U.S. version. While I'm sure they could be as perverse, they can't be as clever, heartwarming, or intriguing. So good luck!
