CRUSHWORTHY: Jason O'Mara from "Terra Nova"

This year has blessed us with some seriously crushworthy guys. So to countdown the 25 days until Christmas, each day I'll put a spotlight on one actor we wish we could catch under the mistletoe. In this case, Santa rewards the naughty and nice.

{DAY 4}
The Prehistoric Detective // Jason O'Mara
"Terra Nova" was suppose to be Steven Spielberg's small screen version of James Cameron's Avatar set in a Jurassic Park environment. It was supposed to be this epic family adventure, like Land of the Lost minus the weird natives. But the series hasn't exactly garnered the following it was expected to. And even though I've watched all of the episodes, I find a majority of it forgettable. The one shining star is O'Mara's character Jim, as well as his character's purpose. While the plant and animal discoveries are educational, the component that keeps me entertained is the criminal investigation into the real reason a path to Terra Nova was discovered. And Jim is the key to that. He keeps the plot moving and keeps the viewer alert. It's his charisma and fearless approach to the most unconventional horrors that keep you coming back. I'm sure that's why FOX producers gave O'Mara a second chance after ABC's "Life on Mars" failed. And I'm confident that even if this one doesn't last, he'll one day find one that does. In the mean time, we can see him this January in his first feature film lead role in the rom-com One for the Money opposite Katherine Heigl as her criminal love interest.
