ALBUM REVIEW: Timbaland's "Shock Value"

Timbaland has been in the game for 13 years under 3 different labels working with countless musicians of every genre and alongside several producers, yet he's only had one album. So this April he'll be releasing his sophomore debut, where he collaborates with artists like Swedish rockers The Hives and post-punk L.A. revival band She Wants Revenge, not to mention his favorite collaborators Justin Timberlake and rapper Magoo.

Timbaland isn't wasting his fleeting moment at the top ringside with Timberlake and Nelly Furtado one bit. He's mixing genres and beats, trying new things and testing the waters. You could say he's trying to see how "untouchable" he really is. Will it still sell eventhough every track isn't heavy with base-bumping club beats?

My personal favorite track is "Throw it on me" with The Hives. For some reason I picture this song perfectly fitting into some action movie/TV show/commercial background.
