Molly Shannon is scheduled to be on Pushing Daisies soon. Meanwhile, Grey's Anatomy is shopping around for a woman in her mid-30s to play a love interest for one of the doctors. My money's on Mark or Alex (even though he's supposedly in love with Ava). Hey, if they competed for her that would be even more entertaining, since Alex is like a younger version of Mark. Or she could even be brought on for Derek, who seriously needs to stop obsessing over Meredith. While we're on the subject of amor, TV guide is reporting that Justin and his step sister Rebecca will be exploring non-platonic territory on Brothers & Sisters--completely defiling the meaning of the show's title. And the chances of Kevin seeing his missionary boyfriend, Jason, again are not good, since Eric Winter will be on CBS's Vegas musical "Viva Laughlin" this season. Or maybe not, since there are bets all over the mags and papers that the show will be the first to get the boot even before Cavemen.
For all of you Heroes and Veronica Mars fans, Kristen Bell will make a jarring entrance into the cult hit show as an assassin for the company, who has no qualms about killing people. Unlike the other heroes, she grew up knowing about and cultivating her powers. She will represent the theory that after a certain amount of years a hero can be driven mad by their endless power. Also, writers want fans to know that even though you'll meet people with similar powers (Nathan and Claire's new love interest can both fly), it's only because they're developing the idea that there are groups of heroes with one specific power, just as there are groups of people with red hair or heterochromia (one blue eye and one green). Another hero, who will be taking care of Micah while Nicky tries to find a cure for her sickness, will get all superhero-happy in the middle of New Orleans, fighting crime. And Peter, who's stuck memory-less in Cork, Ireland, will fall for an Irish lass whose brother holds all his secrets.
Lastly, in the most likely to be ignored news, either Hidden Palms isn't returning to the CW next summer or Michael Cassidy (The O.C.) is a workaholic, because he'll be playing Chloe and Lois' boss at the Daily Planet on Smallville this season. Twenty bucks says even though he's dismissive towards Chloe and encouraging to Lois, he'll somehow, some way fall madly in love with Lana. Snore.
