With Lindsay Lohan practically out of commission, Hayden Panettiere is starting to become the go-to-girl for cute teen queen roles. She's already been tapped to star in Larry Doyle's adaptation of I Love You, Beth Cooper, where she'll stereotypically play a hot cheerleader some dork professes his love to during his valedictorian speech. And now she's been tapped to star in Naomi and Ely's No Kiss List. This storyline, I have to say, is a little bit more original.
Adapted from a book by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan (the writers behind Nick and Norah's Infinite Play List), the movie focuses on a teenage girl and her gay best friend during their freshman year at NYU, who make a pact to never kiss anyone that's on their agreed kiss list in an effort to protect their friendship. You're probably wondering when that would ever become a problem if Naomi sticks to straight guys, but Ely proves it's necessary when he kisses Naomi's boyfriend and then he dumps her for Ely. Ouch! Think of it as "Gossip Girl" meets "Dawson's Creek" (when Jack came out of the closet and ditched Joey), but better.
