• For God knows what reason Mamma Mia beat Titanic's record, becoming the highest-grossing American movie ever released in the U.K. Man those Brits are hard to please.
• Jessica Alba and Jack Black will be guest-starring on the "The Office"-spinoff this January as the cast of a bootleg movie the Dunder Mifflin staff watches during work.
• The writer of The Devil Wears Prada, Aline Brosh McKenna, has written a comedy for Harrison Ford and Rachel McAdams called Morning Glory, where Ford will play a veteran anchor who quits because of the new gossip-heavy stories he has to report. An up-and-coming producer (McAdams) tries to recruit him to revive a morning talk show, but then discovers that her suggested co-anchor is his rival.
• Paul Rudd's next comedy, I Love You, Man, follows a groom on the hunt for a best man after he realizes that he ditched all of his guy friends once he got a serious girlfriend. So basically it's a romantic comedy where a straight guy goes on several "dates" with straight men to pick the lucky bastard who will stand beside him on the altar. Cue the laughter. This'll be the first heterosexual romantic comedy where the women aren't even relevant. Jason Segel (Forgetting Sarah Marshall), Jon Favreau (Four Christmases), Andy Samberg, and Nick Kroll ("Cavemen") also star. Check out a clip.
