• I'm a little peeved that the political dramedy "Body Politic" starring Minka Kelly ("Friday Night Lights"), Jason Dohring ("Veronica Mars"), Jay Hernandez (Nothing Like the Holidays), and Gabriel Union didn't get picked up. Watch a 6-minute preview of what looked like a pretty damn good show about 20something future politicians in DC.
• Freddie Prinze, Jr. just might've scored himself a steady gig on "24."

• Bruce Willis, Seann William Scott, Adam Brody, and Tracy Morgan will star in the action buddy comedy A Couple of Dicks. It's about a "maverick cop (Willis) and his partner (Morgan) who, while tracking a valuable stolen baseball card, tangle with a memorabilia-obsessed gangster and rescue a Mexican beauty (Ana de la Reguera from Nacho Libre) who holds the key to millions in laundered drug money. Scott plays a thief known as the Shit Bandit for the souvenirs he leaves at his robberies. Brody is an abrasive detective not happy to be working with Willis and Morgan." I think the fact that Brody is playing "abrasive" is funny in itself.
• Sometimes there are plots that make you go: "What?" Paper Man has one of them: "Jeff Daniels plays a middle-aged writer, dealing with both the demands of his wife (Lisa Kudrow) and an imaginary superhero (Ryan Reynolds), who strikes up a friendship with a teenager played by Emma Stone (The House Bunny)." Imaginary friend? Really Ryan?
