FASHION WEEK: Fall 2010 Ready-to-Wear: Attention to Detail

Here are my favorite designs that have a certain detail that sets it apart from the rest.

Adam ][ a whole new riff on the ruffle; pinned and sculpted.

Carolina Herrera ][ The pleated shoulder embellishment is "Mad Men" meets sci-fi.

Cushnie et Ochs ][ Sheer shoulders with floral and checkered prints.

Cynthia Steffe ][ Schoolgirls everywhere wish their uniforms looked this good.

Daniel Vosovic ][ Just when you thought the business suit and the solo vest couldn't get any better.

Derek Lam + Tibi ][ One may just be a widened belt, but the other looks like a chic fanny pack. Say goodbye to the super-thin accent belts.

Victoria Beckham + Elie Tahari + Timo Weiland ][ Blue has always been my favorite color. Cobalt blue has now risen to the top as the best of all blues. I've been digging pumpkin orange for a while now, and this blood red and tan work surprisingly well together.

Jen Kao ][ Uh, try to ignore the sheer top region and focus on the metallic tuft of feathers.

Monique Lhuillier ][ This was a surprise. In a sea of futuristic-inspired lines, there appeared one Gladiator/Sparta-like gown that appeared rife for elegant battle.

Yigal Azrouel ][ Never thought a leather color could look so good.
