FASHION WEEK: Fall 2010 Ready-to-Wear: Best Coats

What's the best part of Fall? Buying a new coat, of course!

Christian Siriano ][ The ruffled trench has been done, but adding the zipper gave it that extra tough girl look.

Cushnie et Ochs ][ Leather/suede with a twist. I wouldn't wear it, but it's definitely unexpected.

Doo.Ri + Luca Luca ][ The most popular coat/jacket trend of the season is the sagging collar. It's allover the runways and even on TV. In the tan color, I can see the appeal.

Peter Jensen ][  Little-gray riding hood. Who needs a scarf when you have a chic hoodie?

Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti (far left and second left) + Richard Chai LOVE (second right) + Tibi (far right) ][ We may want the war to end, but the fashion it inspires is welcome to stay.

Project Runway's Janeane ][ It's a very subtle design, but unique enough to not be your average peacoat.

Rad Hourani ][ The designer reigned in the futuristic-cut department. If only it came in color.

Band of Outsiders + Timo Weiland ][ I tend to buy men's coats for a baggier fit for those lazy days. Outsiders have this really relaxed cut that you could just snuggle in. Meanwhile, Weiland's tweed blazer just amplifies the classiness of any ensemble.
