Okay, I just read that CBS's "Smith" was dropped from the lineup and I knew that was going to happen. So I figure I'll just predict what other shows are going to get dropped, unless they do something or other.
CBS
The Class: I thought it was funny both times I saw it and the network has high hopes it's going to replace "Friends" as the next generations must-see. I give it at least one season.
NBC
Heroes : I already reviewed this show and have declared my undying love for it.
Studio 60 It's both funny and dramatic. It's a nice inside track to the industry. Just as long as it keeps the laughs coming sporadically and doesn't try to do anything too farfetched it'll be safe.
FOX
Happy Hour : It's funny at times, but the characters aren't lovable enough.
Vanished The main character isn't boring, but the rest of the characters are and I'm just not interested in finding the first lady.
ABC: seems to have the best roster
Ugly Betty : I saw Devil Wears Prada this summer and it was like having deja vu when I was watching this show. I just hope they introduce other aspects about the magazine industry that the movie didn't already exploit, and play up other parts of Betty's life so it isn't just focused on her career. But most importantly they should drop the whole person-sitting-in-darkness-plotting-revenge scenario because its seems way too campy and stupid. Other than that, keep being ugly Betty.
Men in Trees : Anne Heche turned out to be a whole lot funnier than I thought she could be and the cast is reliable in helping out with the comic relief too. They just need to lay off the moral/life lessons a little and just do an episode every now and then. When they do a relationship lesson they beat you over the head with it, unlike "Grey's Anatomy" that hints at it in the intro and drives it home somewhere in the end. They just need tact.
Six Degrees : I love Jay Hernandez so I may be bias in this criticism. The idea that everbody's life is connected is always interesting and they do it without making it seem implausible. Some of the dramatic plot lines keep you coming back, while others are nice filler while you take a bathroom break. It needs to speed up the relationship problem backlashes and the action, and stop being so mellow before its viewers fall asleep.
The CW
The Game : I missed the Mowry twins, but I'm glad they've separated (something the Olsens need to consider for their next film). The show was funny and quirky and I think it's better than "All of us" so I'd keep watching.
Runaway : I have to be strictly honest. The only reason I'm watching is because Andrew Lawrence, the youngest of the Lawrence brothers (18...and legal), plays a minor character. The main teen guy
Dustin Milligan is alright looking, but the whole I'm-brooding-because-i-can't-get-any-from-my-girlfriend-because-she's-a-million-miles-away crap is boring. The mystery of who murdered his dad's lover is stale and uninteresting...and I read my homework while they're on the screen. Maybe teens will save it from its impending demise, but I doubt it.
