FILM: Box Office Results - 4/30/07

Shia Labeouf is one lucky bastard. The studios chose a perfect week to premier Disturbia, because three weeks later he's still at #1 with $9 mil to a sum total of $52 mil. I really did think everybody would fall for Nicholas Cage and Jessica Biel's crappy new action flick and flood the box office, but it came in at #3 with $7.2 mil after The Invisible ($7.6 mil). Perhaps it's the season for mysteries and thrillers, cause I'm sure no one could've predicted these two films would be in the top 2. Suprisingly, The Condemned, that ridiculous attempt at social commentary of the extremes of reality TV and rampant voyeurism, came in at #9 with $4 mil.

No worries. The world will reset itself the moment Spider-Man 3 comes out on Friday. Watching the evil Venom in action will make Disturbia look like a fairytale.

  1. I'm feeling the need to see Disturbia and see why so many people are paying to go see it.
