FASHION WEEK: Spring 2008 Collections

New York City's fashion week has begun! Right now, outside my office in Bryant Park, models are sporting the Spring line of Perry Ellis. Later on tonight Nicole Miller and Gwen Stefani's L.A.M.B. collection will hit the runway. Want to know the full schedule? New York magazine has it all laid out for you. Can't get in? Style.com will have slideshows of every major and minor designer participating mere hours after they hit the runway. Rather watch the models strut their stuff? Be sure to hit up fashionweekdaily.com for videos once the shows get into full swing.

Of course I'm excited to see the collections of well-known designers, like Philip Lim and Badgley Mischka. But I'd also like to check out the evolution of some that aren't exactly household names in Alabama (or some other non-fashion centric location), like Bill Blass, Abaete, Dennis Basso, Neil Barrett, and Richard Chai.

Earlier this year, for the Fall 2007 fashion week, I posted my favorite designs from each line and chose my favorite designer of the entire event, Naeem Khan. We'll see if any outfits can top this one.
