Man! I really need to pick up a book. All I do is read magazines all the time. Of The Chronicles of Narnia series I've only read the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. Trust me, what I saw in 2005 was ten times better than what I imagined. However, there weren't as many jaw dropping moments visually as there are in Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings. The sequel, on the other hand, Prince Caspian, looks phenomenal. It's got the savagery of Gladiator and the ambition of many treasured epic films.
While in the last movie the Pevensie children traveled through a wardrobe to Narnia to save a kingdom from the White Witch (Tilda Swinton), in this one they travel through a train station (no, not like in Harry Potter) and are summoned to help a prince take hold of the throne. Prince Caspian is played by Ben Barnes, a newcomer who was in Stardust and is already slated to star in the 3rd Narnia film. Caspian needs help fending off his evil uncle King Miraz (Sergio Castellitto) and battling an army. After watching the trailer, I'm more excited to see the sequel than I was to see the first installment. Release Date: May 16, 2008
