Remember when you had respect for Paul Rudd? No, after Clueless and before this movie--that whole Frat Pack age of hilarity? Well forget it. Some actors just need to save money for their kids' college tuition, so don't judge. In Over Her Dead Body, Rudd plays a guy who was getting married to a beautiful girl named Kate played by Eva Longoria. Yes, she's out of his league, but then again so was Alicia Silverstone. What's even more hard to believe is that she dies on their wedding day...crushed by a life-size glass angel. Wait for it. So his best friend Chloe (Lindsay Sloane from "Sabrina the Teenage Witch") tries to help him move on by taking him to Ashley (Lake Bell from "Surface") the pyschic, who can communicate with the dead. Wait for it. Because she gets no vibes and he's not buying the whole I-see-dead-people bit, Chloe gives her Kate's diary and she fakes a psychic breakthrough. Oh but wait! Just when she's ridiculously close to getting him to move on--with her, predictably--Kate's spirit starts to haunt her and make every second of every day a living hell. Expect a lot of slapstick--especially since poor Jason Biggs is in it--and Longoria doing what she does best: being a nuisance. Release date: February 1, 2008
