It's a difficult choice: the hilarious pot-smoking Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay or the hilarious pregnancy chick flick Baby Mama. I say make a double feature of it. If you're not really interested in comedies this week, then the sexual thriller Deception starring Hugh Jackman, Ewan McGregor, and Michelle Williams about a naive accountant who is lured into a sex club, framed for murder, and entangled in a multi-million dollar heist.
Or you can opt for the romantic dramedy Then She Found Me written and directed by Helen Hunt. She plays a middle aged woman (Helen Hunt) who's having marital (Matthew Broderick) troubles and whose adopted mother just died. But it's just her luck that her birth mother (Bette Midler) emerges, eager to connect with her, and the divorced father (Colin Firth) of one of her students starts to show interest. Could make for an interesting directorial debut for Hunt.
Or you can just watch pure crap. In Rogue, Michael Vartan ("Alias") plays a journalist on an Australian guided safari who encounters a huge alligator. I think it's funny that the film description feels the need to describe the alligator as "man-eating"...because usually they're really picky. I know, riveting stuff. But if you want blood, gore, and mild suspense:
