FILM: Shia gets smarter in "Dark Fields"

I'm starting to notice a pattern in Shia Labeouf's resume. He tends to be attracted to roles where he has to make a lot of facial reactions and I expect that there'll be at least an hour and a half of those in his next film Dark Fields.

The plot "centers on a young man who gets his hands on a top-secret pharmaceutical drug that makes you smarter. He experiences sudden financial and social success but soon discovers that the drug has lethal and lasting side effects, including 'trip-switching,' a phenomenon in which time moves with a stop-motion quality."

I'm sure he can pull it off, but I have to say that if he hadn't been in Disturbia or Transformers last year, this movie would've totally went to Joseph Gordon Levitt. He plays trippy really well.
