TRAILER: Battle in Seattle

Stuart Townsend, infamous for his part in Queen of the Damned (and for dating Charlize Theron), has finally finished his directorial and screenwriting debut Battle in Seattle, set for a September 2008 release. The movie is a dramatic telling of a true story. In 1999, thousands of activists swarmed the streets of Seattle to protest the first meeting of the World Trade Organization on U.S. soil. In a matter of five days, the event escalates from a peaceful protest into a full-fledged civil war between police officers and National Guard and rioters. The story follows five individuals and chronicles their role and their reactions to the event. Starring are Charlize Theron as the pregnant wife of Woody Harrelson, who plays a SWAT member with Channing Tatum (Stop-Loss); Ray Liotta plays the mayor; Andre Benjamin (Semi-Pro), Michelle Rodriguez ("Lost"), and Joshua Jackson play rioters; and Martin Henderson (Torque) plays one of the protest organizers.
