A sequel to the cult classic Donnie Darko will be going into production soon. While its former cast, consisting of Drew Barrymore, Jake Gyllenhaal, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Mary McCormack ("The West Wing"), will not be reprising their roles, Daviegh Chase ("Big Love") will return as Donnie's little sister. "Set seven years after the first film, little sister Samantha Darko and her best friend Corey are now eighteen and on a roadtrip to Los Angeles when they are plagued by bizarre visions." The rest of the cast consists of Justin Chatwin (The Invisible), Ed Westwick ("Gossip Girl") and Briana Evigan (Step Up 2 the Streets). Chris Fisher ("Moonlight" and Dirty) will be directing, and Richard Kelly, the original director, will not be touching this film with a ten-foot pole.
Will you watch it?
