CAST WHO?: Three Musketeers Prequel

I've always loved The Three Musketeers, even when they were in The Man in the Iron Mask and The Musketeer. So when I heard that Millenium Films was making a prequel, I got really excited.

Alexandre Dumas' contribution to classic literature is one of the coolest books students are forced to read. In 1993, Charlie Sheen, Kiefer Sutherland ("24"), and Oliver Platt (Casanova) played those bad ass swordsmen with Chris O'Donnell ("The Company"), cast as the young vengeance-seeker, D'Artagnan, nipping at their heels. In 1998, Jeremy Irons (Eragon), John Malkovich and Gerard Depardieu (My Father the Hero) had the honor of donning those knightly tights with an older version of D'Artagnan, Gabriel Byrne ("The Treatment"), as their leader. And in 2001, Nick Moran (Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels), Steven Speirs (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men's Chest), and German actor Jan Gregor Kremp trained Justin Chambers ("Grey's Anatomy") to bear the honorable name.

The new film will be a prequel, explaining how the three met. Millennium Films is being credited with the amazing feat of having revived the Rambo series to the sound of $112 mil worldwide, so producers are confident they'll be able to get the job done. The question, of course, is who should play our men in tights?

I, personally, think Orlando Bloom was made to play a swordsmen ever since I saw him in Pirates of the Caribbean. But whoever the three are, they all have to be of equal fame so that one doesn't outshine the others. Therefore, no Johnny Depp.

Who do you think should be a Musketeer?
