FILM: Bruce Willis & Nicholas Cage team up
Bruce Willis and Nicholas Cage will star in the buddy action movie, Kane & Lynch, which will be adapted from a video game. The story follows Adam 'Kane' Marcus (Willis), "a mercenary on death row who, along with a schizophrenic killer named Lynch (Cage), is sprung to retrieve a stolen and very valuable microchip. The pair, along with Kane's former teammates, travel to Los Angeles, Japan and Cuba in order to save his wife and daughter."
This should be interesting: Uber cool John McClane and super psycho Castor Troy (Face/Off) fitted with--I'm assuming--a heart of gold team up for the greater good. It'll be directed by stunt coordinator Simon Crane, which should say a lot about the action.
UPDATE (6/24/11): The cast is now Bruce Willis (Kane) and Jamie Foxx (Lynch). The director has changed to F. Gary Gray (Law Abiding Citizen and The Italian Job). It's being written by up-and-coming screenwriter Kyle Ward. And for some reason goofy comedian John Lovitz is in it. Sooooo, needless to say my enthusiasm has diminished substantially. And for those of you who are Simon Crane fans, you'll be happy to know his first directing gig will now be Jason Statham's Echelon (2012).
