There are rumors that little Jenny Humphrey (Taylor Momsen) or a new character that'll be introduced next season will be getting their own show set at an all-girls school.
Apparently, in the book series, Lil J suffers several "public embarrassments (such as appearing in a teen magazine wearing next to nothing)" and is forced to re-do 9th grade or enroll somewhere else. She jumps at the chance to reinvent herself as a popular girl at a boarding school. If they don't spin J's character off, they might tag that storyline onto a new girl.

If the producers, Alloy, are rejected by the CW network, they'll probably pitch it to other networks, like ABC Family, which just retired "Wildfire" and is doing very well with their college dramedy "Greek." The Hollywood Reporter made an interesting observation. "Broadcast scripted series spinoffs are [becoming] increasingly common, with NBC's "The Office" and Fox's "Family Guy" having new shows launch next season. Such others as Fox's "Prison Break" and "House" are at an early stage..."
Who else deserves a spinoff?
Update: The rumors were dashed, but maybe the gossip Gods will have mercy on us.
