Although not many viewers tuned in for FOX's "New Amsterdam" series, where Nikolaj Coster-Waldau played a detective cursed with immortality until he finds his true love, the network isn't giving up on him just yet.
The 37-year-old Danish film star has been cast in a 2-hr backdoor sci-fi pilot called "Virtuality." It's "set aboard Earth's first starship, which is equipped with advanced virtual reality modules." Coster-Waldau will play the leader of the crew who has to figure out how to deal with the unexpected consequences of maintaining a virtual reality when it begins to warp.
