HBO just ordered three new pilots.

Martin Scorsese and Terry Winter ("The Sopranos") are developing a drama set in Atlantic City in the 1920s that's based on Nelson Johnson's book Boardwalk Empire: The Birth, High Times, and Corruption of Atlantic City. Leave it to Scorsese to make Atlantic City interesting. They'll start shooting in January.

The network will also be adapting Jessica Cutler's novel The Washingtonienne, which follows the salacious exploits of a Senate staffer on Capitol Hill. The comedy is being produced by Sarah Jessica Parker.
Lastly, David Simon ("The Wire") and Eric Overmyer ("Law & Order") are working on a post-Katrina drama called "Treme." This is risky since FOX's "K-Ville" was canceled and people don't seem too interested in New Orleans.
Which one are you eager to see?
