TV: CBS remakes "The Streets of San Francisco"

If there's something CBS needs, it's another cop drama, right?

The network has decided to remake the 70s series "The Streets of San Francisco" that starred Michael Douglas and Karl Malden. Sheldon Turner ("The Longest Yard") and "Numbers" producer Robert Port will write. They plan on recreating the spirit of the series, including the affects the war has had on this generation similar to the way Vietnam affected the previous generation. In an interview, the writers compared the main characters to our presidential candidates. "One, like Obama, wants to be active and believes in rehabilitation, while the other one, like McCain, doesn't quite believe in rehabilitation and believes that the enemy is the enemy," Turner say.

What would make you watch?
