If you love clothes and boys, then you should gather your girlfriends and watch Shopaholic. Isla Fisher plays an aspiring fashion journalist with a severe shopping problem who uses a finance magazine as a stepping stone to a position at the most famous fashion publication in America. She finds an unlikely mentor in her new boss (Hugh Dancy) and an even more unlikely love interest. Read my review.
If you aren't tired of hearing that banks are run by thieves, than strap yourself in for the thrilling conspiracy drama The International. Clive Owen plays an Interpol agent who teams up with an Assistant DA (Naomi Watts) to stop an international arms dealing ring that's fully funded by an infamous bank.
If you are under 18 and/or don't mind watch horror remakes, then brace yourself for Friday the 13th. Teenagers in woods + masked Jason = blood and guts.
If you want to see Joaquin Phoenix sober and sane, then watch Two Lovers. It's an indie romantic drama about a guy (Phoenix) who falls in love with two very different women: "the family friend his parents wish he would marry (Vinessa Shaw) and his beautiful but volatile new neighbor (Gwyneth Paltrow)." Wow! Paltrow playing against type? Love it--never too late to reinvent yourself. I guess she learned that from Madonna.
