ALBUM REVIEW: Jazmine Sullivan's "Love Me Back"

The first time I heard Jazmine Sullivan was actually through a different medium. Mercedes on "Glee" brought down the house with her rendition of Jazmine's boy-bashing hit single "Bust Your Windows." And while the musically gifted cast of that series has generally sung other people's songs better than they do, it turned out that Jazmine could sing it just as good.

With her sophomore album, she returns with more songs about romantic betrayal and falling in love. My favorite track off the record, besides the addictive first single "Holdin' You Down (Goin' in Circles)," is "Luv Back." The clap-driven beat really gets you moving. And even though it's an upbeat song, she doesn't go easy on the vocals.

The other two great tracks are:
The 2nd single, "10 Seconds," a heart-wrenching kiss-off.

And "Love You Long Time," an arena-ready track that has a chant-worthy hook.
