TRAILER: Antonio Banderas's Noir "The Big Bang"

PLOT: A private detective (Banderas) is hired to find a missing stripper. A simple job turns complicated when everyone he questions ends up dead.

VERDICT: I haven't seen a live action Banderas film since 2008's crappy spy comedy Homeland Security, and the last time I enjoyed one was 2006's Take the Lead. So I am pleasantly surprised by this dark comedic noir. It isn't exactly a masterpiece, but it's giving me that colorful Sin City slash Tarantino vibe. I also love that that overgrown oaf Maillet is getting more lines than he's ever gotten in his life.
