According to April 6th's Entertainment Weekly issue, Richard Donner, the director of The Goonies, plans on adapting the film for a musical. I LOVE adventure movies that involve people looking for treasure: Indiana Jones, The Mummy, National Treasure, etc. But The Goonies was different. It was more like an initiation for anyone who's ever felt like a misfit. And as much as I loved it, there's no way in hell I'd watch the musical. What could they possibly sing about? Will there be dancing...besides the Truffle Shuffle? The article said that it was an alternative to a sequel, because they couldn't hammer out a good enough script. But a musical is completely plausible. Morons.
