David Fincher (Zodiac) is courting Matt Damon to star in the graphic novel adaptation Torso. It's a mystery thriller that takes place in the 30s about the famous Untouchables investigator Eliot Ness and the mericiless "Torso Murderer." This particular serial killer was fond of leaving behind only his victim's torso, making it difficult to identify them in that time period. Since the film is said to be more focused on "the deconstruction of Eliot Ness," chances are Damon would be playing that character.
Will Ferrell and his buddy
Adam McKay (
Anchorman and
Talladega Nights director) are producing their own indie comedy called
Stewie. No, it's not about that maniacal baby on "
Family Guy." It's more like a cross between
40-year-old Virgin and
Edtv.
Ferrell will play a guy who is pressured to lose his virginity by his pushy best friend so that he can make a documentary about it. If you've seen
Superbad, then you know that there's a scene where
Michael Cera attempts to have sex with an aggressive drunk girl in the most awkward scenario I've ever seen. If it's anything like that, then it should be hilarious.
