Michael Cera was dubbed a breakout star in 2007 for his hilarious deadpan comedy in Superbad and lovable charm in Juno. So how do you top a raucous night of girl chasing with Seth Rogen and accidentally impregnating the girl of your dreams with Diablo Cody? Well, duh! You sign on for a biblical comedy with Jack Black called Year One that'll erase everyone's memory of that crapfest Evan Almighty.
What will set it apart is that it actually takes place in biblical times AND it won't just be about one religious tale. It will reference several fables from the old testament, and Cera and Black will play characters who are agnostic. The Catholic church is going to love this. Christopher Mintz-Plasse a.k.a. McLovin also stars, as well as Arrested Development's David Cross. They'll start filming soon and it will be in theaters June 2009.
