It was only last Wednesday that I posted news about a Three Musketeers prequel and now I'm hearing about a new flick starring Russell Crowe and Sienna Miller called Nottingham, where Robin Hood will be portrayed as a villain with a mischievous gang.
The tale will flip the story to the perspective of a noble Sheriff of Nottingham (Crowe), who has to keep the peace that Robin Hood is disrupting while the corrupt Prince John is ruling. Meanwhile, the two fight for the affections of Maid Marion (Miller).
Ethan Reiff and Cyrus Voris (Kung Fu Panda and Bulletproof Monk) wrote the screenplay and Brian Helgeland (Man on Fire and Knight's Tale) rewrote it. No word on who'll play Robin Hood just yet, but my vote is for someone like Ben Foster (3:10 to Yuma) or Matthew Goode (The Lookout).
